I am drawn to both the colour and the intricacy of plants and flowers. That intricacy can be lost when viewed within the context of a landscape, so I like to use photography to explore my way around a plant. There is something very pleasurable about looking through a lens and being constantly surprised at what can be found. The painterly feel of the abstract images was created by gently moving the camera to capture glimpses of colour and a sense of movement. click on images to enlarge
